There was an arrangement between the University authorities and ' the Government, and he had been impressed with the" tremendous advantage expected. - .... ,;"... A How much money is : '* Mr. Massey: £2000 per annum. ' The Premier added that he was sure ! the scheme would work out all. right. ' Considerable time had been spent in i working out details. Mr. McCombs (I-yttelton) asked • whether . the University authorities i were of opinion that two schools should be established, and that the proposal , was in the best interests of forestry? i Was the decision a compromise, in view i of the fact tbat the. Government was not prepared to make the decision? ! Had Auckland declared it would.have a forestry whether or not it ,' was contrary to the advice of experts?
