THE PIAKO RIVER FATALITY. Further details to hand regarding the drowning of Douglas France (17), whose body was recovered from the Piako River, near Tahuna, yesterday, show that deceased was suddenly taken with cramp while swimming. He sank before assistance was forthcoming. An inquest was held at Morrinsville yesterday, and the coroner found that death was due to accidental drowning. The police were seeking the whereabouts of deceased's sister, Miss Grace France. They ultimately ascertained that •she was employed at the W.C.T.U. Hostel in Queen Street. _ j
