Dr. Xansen intimated that he desires to place in countries adhering to the League 200,000 workless Armenians, seme of whom, if the League agrees, Australia and New Zealand will be invited to take. 1 The opium traffic is proving a difficult problem. It is alleged that some factions in China are encouraging its growth, devoting the proceeels to the up- | keep of the army.— (A. and _f_Z.)
