For month* past the Kingsland district has been the scene of considerable activity in connection with the erection of an overhead bridge to obviate the dangerous level crossing that has been the cause of several fatal accidents, and in connection with the extension of the tramway system into the Edendale district. Our photos illustrate the present position of these works: (1) Bridge by which the Eden-ale tram will cross the northern line. (2) Clark Street with the new Kowhai School at the end. (3) Kingsland Railway Station; Edendale Road, with the old level crossing is in the foreground, and the new bridge showing behind the train. (4) A footbridge in course of construction at the Onslow Road railway crossing is indicated by the white lines.
