MORE SALES RECORDED. WAR LOANS STEADY. Alhotlgh there were fewer sales of War Loans during the past week, recent advances were maintained in most lines. A little more business was done during the past week in War Loans, as well as shares in banking corporations. The 3027-41 WatLoan 5i per cent sold up to flis 10/, and buj-ers still offer 3/ under that figure, 'rhe 4£ per cent Loan, 103S-:j!i, sold at £07 17/fl. and buyers now offer 2/(j under that figure for the Inscribed Stock. The 0 per cent War Loan could be placed at £OS. and the Inscribed Stock at 3/ less. Soldiers' Loan, ■>i per cent, are wanted at £101 3/, but sellers still ask £102. Colonial Sugar were inquired for this week at ±42 10/. but no seller quoted. P. and O. Deferred Stock are wanted at £2SO, but sellers ask an extra ±10. N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency are still in demand at £SS for ordinary and £77 for preferred stock, but no sales occurred ut these figures. Auckland Gas 5 per cent Debentures sold at £90 10/, and the Ui per cent are still asked for at £102, which rate is also offered for Auckland Harbour Board 6 per cent. The 5] Harbour Board Debentures are wanted at £03, and an extra 10/ is offered for Auckland City of the same interest, while £0G is the buying figure for the ol per cent Loan. Sales of Dalgetv, Ltd., were made at £13 7/G during tlie week, and more were offered at 2-fJ advance Union Bank of Australia had sales at £14 18/, and National Banks were transferred at £G 11/ c. Bank of New Zealand shares had a numlier of transactions at 07/, and a sale of I!ans*of Australasia took place at Insurance company shares had some attention this week, free sales being made of bouth Eritish at 40/6, at which rate more could be placed. N.Z. Insurance (ex div) also sold at 20/3. and Nationals are -wanted at 70/, with holders willing to acept 73.'. National Timber shares firmed to sales at 24/6, and Bartholomews were transferred ac —V. while buyers of Kauris now offer 20/. Auckland Gas sold at 23/3. and the contribution issue Ormed to sales at T>/11 and G/. A buyer came hi for Gishome Gas at 12/11 but no selling figure was quoted. N.Z. Breweries debentures improved a little beins sold at 22/ and 22/:!. ivhile buyers of shares offered 27/ li. A transaction took place in Gear Meat. Ltd., at 43/, white buyers of N.Z. Milk Products advanced their Offers to 2(!'. Sales of Grey and Menzies, ■Ltd., are not frequent, but shares changed hands this week at 12/6. Waipa Colliery shares are still in request at ID/ and p-iles of Taupiris took place at IS/, while buyers! of Westports advanced their offers to VJS'. Northern Steam shares changed hauds at 16/6, and the same price is now offered for Kaiapoi Woollen shares. Wilsons Cement continue to change hands at 20/(1. A sale of Thames Theatre occurred at IS/. In mining stocks Muir's Gold Beefs' were placed at IS/6. Zeehan Consolidated* at 79 and Waihis at 20/j.
