BANKRUPTCIES.
FIGURES FOR SEVEN MONTHS. During the past month 63 bankruptcies were registered in New Zealand.' as compared with f>7 in July last year, 1 I and 74 in July, 1022. The past month's j record shows that 12 farmers became j insolvent, as against 11 in Juno and 13 in May. For the seven months ended July 31, the bankruptcies, numbered 300, or 2 less than in the corresponding term of 1023. The bankruptcies registered during each of the past seven months and for the corresponding months of 1023 and 1 1022 were as follow: — ,
The principal contributors to the bankruptcies of the past seven months were: Farmers 00, labourers 34. motor trade 2:!, builders 21. agents 13, hotelkeopors 12. contractors 11, and carriers 10. Four sharomilkers and a farm manager were: declared bankrupt lust month.
