I WELLINGTON, this day. I It is announced in the Wellington Acclimatisation Society's annual report that both moose and wapiti are flourishing in Otago Sounds. The former are estimated to number 80 to i 100, but are in rough country and dif- "" ficult to approach. "Wapiti cover a more extended area, and number about i two thousand. The best heads will be I taken in the next five to ton years. j One , head recently secured had a span of f>4 inches, which is within four inches [of the world's record.
