HIDE AND SKIN SALE. The auction of hides and skins was held this afternoon at the Chamber of Commerce. Bidding was spirited, and most lines offered were knocked down, last week's values beinp maintained. Quotations are:—Skins: Full-wooled, 12d to 13Jd per lb; threequarter-woolled, IOJd Ito llld per lb; half-woo!'ed. BJd to OJd per lb. A nice line of half bred realised up to lorl per lb. Salted skins sold from 5/6 to G/ (poor); medium 6/9 to 8/; best, 10/ to 11/10. Hides were not in much demand, and moat of the better lines were passed in. I offers not being up t« eellers' ideas of j values. Heavy ox sold at 7Jd to 0d; light ox, sid to 64d: yearling, 7sd to Sd; calfskin, up to Hid per lb. LONDON BUTTER MARKET. Messrs.
