Mr. E. Ramsden leaves for Sydney by tie Makura to-morrow. Sir Edwin Mitehelson, M.L.C., returned by the Makura to-day from a visit to' Honolulu. Dr. W. H. Cleary, Roman Cathoiic Bishop of Auckland is at present in Hamilton. Messrs E. J. and E. Crisp. Gisborne, ' and Mr. L. H. Garland, Wellington, arc ! at the Star Hotel. ■ Mr. W. Wallace, chairman of the Atlck- [ land Hospital Board, has returned from a visit to Wellington. ✓ ' The Rev A. A. Murray, of the U.E.G., ' lias accepted a call from Palmerston ! j North, and has left to take up his new : ' duties. I Guests at the Grand include Mr. and Mrs. Acton Adams, Te Papa; Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Miles, Marton; and Mr. H. Coleman, Northern Wairoa Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, leaves for Waihi to-morrow in : connection with the mining engineers' ; dispute. I Mr. F. G. Wood, assistant Australian i j and New Zealand manager for the Canaj dian Government merchant marine, arrived in Auckland from the South this morning. Mr. E. Anderson will leave l>y the Main Trunk train to-night to connect, with the Maiingaimi at Wellington tomorrow for Tahiti. His visit to the Islands will occupy six weeks.Mr. Albert Mallinson, F.T.C.L., the eminent song-vriter is a passenger on; j the ■Makura for Auckland, and he will be staying at the Central Hotel. Mr. I Mallinson is examiner for the Trinity College of Music, London, and will be here for about tbreo weeks. The examinations start on the 28th inst.
