"OVER AND OVER AGAIN."
The monotonous assaults on safety zone* by motor cars, which always result in the cars poming- oway the worse for the encounters, but the zones '"standing as they ever stood before," continues in the city. Practically every zone in Queen Street lias been "charged to date, and many art? now receiving their second ' instalment. On Saturday evening Mr. J. R. Brcndell, with liis Chevrolet cay, was driving up Queen Street, in a direct line for the zone just above Vulcan Lane. When about a yard away from it, the driver became suddenly aware of its presence, and swerved towards the tram liiW3 in a endeavour to miss it. He didn't. The near left wheel was smashed, and the side of the car badly battered. The zone, of course, simply stood its ground.
