MANY CARS STOLEN.
EPIDEMIC IN SYDNEY. (Received 12 noon.) SYDNEY, this day. No fewer than 11 vehicles, valued at nearly £5000, have been stolen here during the week-end. Only three have been recovered. In one case the owner saw his car being taken, but the thieves kept him at bay by presenting a revolver at his head. A police patrol chased another car miles through the suburbs, but tho thieves escaped.— (A. and X.Z.)
