THE DAVIS CUP
TO REMAIN ANNUAL EVENT. SOME NEW REGULATIONS. (Received 11 a.m.) XEW YORK, July 20. It is learned here that play for tlie Davis Cup will continue to be annual event, according to the decision of the meeting of contending nations in London. The result of their deliberations will be referred to the various associations interested, and the changes adopted should have the approval of two-third 3 of the nations. Among the regulations approved were those for reinstating Austria as a Cup contesting nation, adding Ireland to the list under tlie title "United Ireland, - ' and authorising Great Britain to make formal application for tlie inclusion of Jamaica as a separate contestant. — (A. and X.Z.
