LARGE NUMBERS DROWNED
MANY SHIPS SWEPT AWAY. WRECK AND DESOLATION. (Received ]1.30 a.m.) LONDON, July 20. A trail of wreckage and much loss of life followed a gale which swept the Continent and parts of England. Eight Ostend fishing boats are missing and forty-two men were drowned.— (A. and X.Z. Cable.)
