ENGINEERS' REGISTRATION.
(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary RerTJler.) WELLINGTON, Friday. A measure to make provision for the registration of engineers was introduced by Governor's message to-day. It was circulated last session, but was not passed. The present measure follows former lines. An engineers' registration, board is to be constituted, including three representatives nominated by the Council of the Xciv Zealand Society of Civil Engineers and three appointed by the Minister of Public Works. The first three appointees are to be representatives respectively, of the the civil, electrical and mechanical engineers. The qualifications of the applicants for registration are defined, and a penalty is provided for improper use of words, initials, etc., implying registration.
