ARRIVE ON TUESDAY.

ENGLISH LEAGUE TEAM. FIRST GAME ON WEDNESDAY. On Tuesday next the English team of League footballers will arrive In Auckland, after having completed a most successful tour of Australia, where the men from the Old Country demonstrated very emphatically in their games against the beßfc Australian combinations that they are a classy lot, knowing all there is to learn of the game, and foot-. bailers of tbe highest standard. I The Englishmen are not to be allowed to remain idle after they reach Auckland and, after being officially welcomed byl tho New Zealand League following their' arrival on Tuesday, they will leave for Hamilton the same evening and open their New Zealand tour the following day against South Auckland. They then return to Auckland, and will be accorded a civic reception on Friday by his Worship the Mayor (Sir Jnmes Gunson). On Saturday next the visitors will meet an Auckland team at Carlaw Park, and on tro following Monday (July 28) will play a match against a Lower Waikato team at Ngaruawahia. Two days later they meet the Auckland provincial team at Carlaw Park, and on the Saturday tbe first test will be staged against. New Zealand. It is intended to play the test at Carlaw Park, but should the League come to the conclusion beforehand that the Park accommodation will not be sufficient to hold the crowd, and enable all to see the match, arrange- : ments have been made to play the test, on the Domain Cricket Ground. j Following the test the visitors then set off for the South, playing a frame against Ngaruawahia on the way and the second test at Wellington on August 6. On August 9 the contingent will bo divided, and two matches will lie played! —one against New Zealand at Dunedin' and the other against Westland at Greymouth. One week later the tour in the Dominion concludes with a match against Canterbury at Christehurch. A good programme of entertainment for the visitors has been mapped out, and at all centres arrangements have been made to make the stay of the team an enjoyable one. The Players.
