' ", Nominations closed at noon to-day for the positions of president, vice-president, five committee men, and three stewards of the Auckland Racing Club for the ensuing season. Sir Edwin Mitchelson and Mr. H. O. Nolan were returned unopposed for the positions of president and vice-president respectively. T hefoUowing were nominated for the other offices:—Committee; Messrs. S. Bradley, C. A. Brown, Fred Eai-U M. M. McCallnm, Oliver Nicholson (retiring members), E_ A. Price, and Dr. E. H. B. Milsom. Stewards: Messrs. Wm. Fallon, M. J. Lynch, L. C. Rathbone and G. A. Wynyard. As the number nominated exceed the vacancies a ballot for commltte_> men and stewards wiU be necessary.
