(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAWERA, Friday. The Wellington Centre boxing championShips opened to-night. There was a fair attendance of the public. The following are the results :— . Flyweight.—Willis (Hawera) won by default from Childs (Stratford) : Woods (Wellington) knocked out Roebuck (Taranaki) : Hoskings (Wanganu!) won by default from McLaughlin. (Patea). Bantam-weight. — Crowley (Wellington) won on points from Freitas (Wangnnui) ; Carroll (Wellington) defaulted to Nesbit (Manawatu). ,„ ~ ~ , Feather-weight.—Collin3 (Stratford) defaulted to D. Mercer (Hawera) : Forward (Wangnnui) was knocked out by E. Mercer (Hawera) ; Black (Wellington) won on points fom Potbury (Manawatu). Lightweight.—Cadman (Hawera) lost on points to Decleen (Manawatu) ; Charles (Wellington) won on points from Gray (Wanganui) : Lovcritlee (Taranaki) won on points from Creighton (Manawatu) ; Vercoe (Marlborough) won by default from johanson (Masterton). Welter-weight.—Duggan (Hawera) won by default from Brougham (Marlborough) ; Walden (Manawatu) beat Johanson (Masterton). The bout was stopped to save a knock-out. Middle-weight. — O'Keefe (Manawatu) won by default from Fnrze (Tavanaki). Light-heavyweight.—Evfttt (Welßngton) won by default from Sotherley (Marlborough ); McGuire (Taranaki) was defeated by Hunt (Manawatu).
