In the final of the 100 metres back stroke, the iininh was: Keahola (America) 1, Wyatt (America) 2, Bartha (Hungary) 3. Time, 7:5 l-ss. | In the semi-final Miss Wills beat I Madame Golding (France), o—2, o—2.0 —2. SCULLING. The Australian eight finished second in the preliminary heat, and rowed with ! the other beaten crews to decide who ! will go into the final. They finished third to Canada and the Argentine. France won the fourth heat with Britain second. Czecho-Slovakia, because of fastest time in the third, also qualified. In the second semi-final the result was America 1, Sweden 2, Japan 3. The time was 9.59 2-3, a world's record. THE TENNIS TOURNEY. In the lawn tennis semi-finals, Mdlle. Vlasto (France) beat Miss ileKane (Britain), o—fi, 7—5, β-l.
