From the kick-off Sir ire again attacked, and from a penalty for hands Russell equalised. Play was of a glvc-uud lake order, but eventually Shore succeeded In gaining a corner, which rebounded from tbe post, aud was diverted iuto tbe nc-t by Anderson, giving ■Shore the lead. Thistle al once attacked. and a hot shot from Humphreys had i Thomas well beaten: but Oerrard intercepted with his hands, and Ritchie made no mistake from the resultaut penally. i Half-time was called 6oou after, the scores being:— I Thistle 2 I Shore - On resuming, Thistle at once asserted I themselves, and the Shore goal saw narrow 1 escapes. Shore attacked for a time, but could not penelrafe tbe Thistle defence. Ritchie being prominent. Shore kept at it. and only a good save by Anderson from Russell denied Shore tbe equaliser. Thistle again took command, and Williams, who was playing well, drew Thomas from his goal, and then beat him with a low shot, which rebounded ofT the post into the net. making Thistle two ahead.
