BOXING CHAMPIONS.
WELLINGTON CENTRE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.* HAWERA. this day. The Wellington centre boxing championships were continued this afternoon, the results being as follows :— Featherweights.—Vercoo (Marlborough) beat P. Mercer (Hawera). The latter skied the towel. Beach (Wellington) beat Pupps (Masterton) on points. Vercoe (Marlborough) knocked out E. Mercer (Hawera). Lightweights.—Charles (Wellington) beat De Cleene (Manawatu) on points. Middleweigbts.—Brosnan (Hawera) beat O'Kcefe (Hawera). The latter skied the towel. Light-heavyweight. —Evatt (Wellington) beat Tompsltt (Wanganui) on points.
