A CLEVER DOG.
Here is a true story of a do-* lived in Kent. Tbe dog had for four days and hia little masts, very worried because* be could not' him. On the fourth day, however,.. turned home, walking backwards! j poor old dog had gone out rabbitkt he had got his head fixed in apipe| £ he could not get it out He mustb tried very hard to wriggle ____.]_{ but he could not get his head out managed to loose the pipe, and; only thing he could do wa» to ji home, pipe and aIL He could not j the pipe before him, so he had tot it after him, walking backwards il: way home. His master ..was „ pleased to see him, and after tiet was smashed he had a good meal,i felt none the worse for his. ate Wasn't he a clever dog to find lb i home backwards?
