LORD JELLICOE.
WHO WILL SUCCEED HIM? MAY BE DUKE OF YORK. RECURRENCE OF RUMOURS. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 18. The "Daily Mail" says that H.R.H. the Duke of York was visited by Mr. J. H. Thomas (Secretary for the Colonies), also by Mr. Waterliouse, Mr. MacDonald's secretary, this leading to a revival of the rumours of a possibility of the Duke of York's acceptance of the Governor-Generalship of New Zealand.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
