PORTION" OP. LOAN* RAISED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) 'j MORRKSVILI-E, Friday. j In connection with the raising of a. , loan for a reading scheme of £21,500 •the Mayor (Mr. G. Howie) stated ves- | terday that advice received to-day gives' the council an assurance of a portion only of the money being available. For the roading loan the sum of £5000 at 4J per cent is being obtained for the J State Advances Office, and £5000 at ; 5i per cent from the A.M.P. Office, while , an additional £2000 is being obtained from the A.M.P. Society at 5} per cent ! for the swimming bath loan.
