Poynton, S.M., will be absent from Auckland for about a fortnight. He has gone to Rotorua to relieve I ono of the magistrates in that town. I Mr. J. Liout.-Colonel Arnold Caddy, president of the Red Poll Cattle Breeders' Association of Australasia, who adjudicated in the Red Poll section at the last Melbourne Royal Show, has consented to act as one of the judges of cattle at the first New Zealand Royal Show, to be held at I Palmerston North in November next,
