''■;* A SUCCESSFUL TEAK. The eleventh annual meeting of tlir; Rawhiti Bowling, Croquet and Tennis Clul> was presided over by Mr. J. B. Pnterst.u. The report and balance sheet submitted stilted that the club had had a successful year. It liad taken part in the Pennant competition, and obtained second place in A section, with the fine percentage of 55.55. The club championship was won by Mr. \V. Cliiplin, Mr. W. Xoonan beim; runner-up. The flrSt-year championship was won by Mr. J. Sharkey, who also upheld with his team the club's reputation in the first year tournament. The perthe club, the final being won by F. Bytes, S. Agar. A. MacPherson and G. Piper. Other competitions were unfinished owin;» to the very unsettled state of the weather. A rink consisting of Messrs. Chiplin, MacPherson, Piper and Irvine wrested the Vcnnison Scarf Pins from the Epsom Club. The club also controlled the Tennis Club, and this year had been very successful. Prizes were distributed to the various prizewinners as above. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. J B Paterson (re-elected) ; vice-presidents, Messrs. P. B. Thomson, J. H. Jackson, and W. Irvine (re-elected) ; secretary, Mr. G. E. Piper; treasurer, Mr. J. Whelans; hon. auditor, Mr. B. L. Bapmall; general committee, Messrs. W. Chiplin. j. Eaves. D. C. Murray, F. Syfces, T. Millward and J. Sharkey; match committee and umpires, Messrs. G. E. Piper, P. B. Thomson, and W Irvine: first year's coach, Mr. R. Taylor: delegate to Centre, Messrs. W. Irvine and F. Worthington ; grounds committee. Messrs. WUmott. Sharkey, and McGowan. The dub also decided to play in the Pennant competition. Mr. Harry Saraways was elected a life member in recognition of his valuable services rendered to the club. The usual customary vote of thanks was passed to tlie retiring officers, etc.
