THE STRATFORD RAILWAY.
CLEAPJKG THE SLIPS. (Ry Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) STRATFORD, Thursday. ! The Stratford-Whangamomona railway, which has been interrupted since the heavy rains and slips of some months ago, is now almost clear, and although a certain amount of work remains to be done a slow service is now being carried on, and the first regular train to go right through for a long time left Stratford at 2.55 p.m. to-day. While the traffic was suspended a great deal of inconvenience was occasioned the settlers, as there was no regular transport service for passengers and stores.
