RETURNED SOLDIER'S DEATH.
1 ■ ■; There passed away at the Auckland Military Hospital yesterday Private Nicholas Joan, the son of Mrs. S. L. ' Joan, of Kohimarajna. He left New Zealand with the 14th Reinforcements of the Wellington Infantry early in 1916, and saw service in France to the date of the signing of the armistice. The funeral, which ias been arranged by the Pensions Department, will leave Mr. Sibun's mortuary -at 11 a~m. on Saturday, for Waikumete.
