RAILWAY SHUNTER INJURED.
BOTH liEGS AMPUTATED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TEMARU, Thursday. A railway porter, A. H. Mathews, 22 years of age, when engaged in shunting operations this afternoon, jumped from, the cowcatcher of an engine and was run over by a. truck on an adjoining! line. Both, his legs were almost severed above the knees. The injured man was taken to the hospital, where both legs were amputated.
