Xew South Wales was now gettins the ball from the scrum, but the "All Blacks" forwards smothered their backs. George centred the ball across the goal and Lucas secured. Witli a clever sidestep he cut out two opponents and transferred to Cooke. " All Blacks " Fresh. The game continued in the Xew South Wales' half, the "All Blacks" tackling solidly. The New South Wales backs were at length set in motion, but Xepia's splendid line-kick saved. Brownlie broke away from a semm and transferred to Richardson, who passed to Lucas. The latter, when ho was collared, returned to Brownlie, but he was pulled down. X'ew South Wales again came on. and two dangerous movements were frustrated by Lucas arid Porter respectively. Xew South Wales was penalised at half-way, and Xepia found touch near the local line. From the line-out Porter picked up and ran round and scored. Xepia converted. The "All Blacks'' continued to press. Just on the call of time Porter rushed up and enabled Cupples to scure. Xicholls' kick was charged down.
