Valuations.—Mr. S. Thomas, who was appointed by the council as assessor to represent the council at the Assessment Court, reported that several objections were heard, but all the assessments were sustained ivltn the exception of that of Messrs. Allpert and l'oolcy, which, on account of the wrong property being valued, was altered by arrangement from £1525 to. £500. Motor Bus Service.—The Auckland Town Clerk reported that the Auckland City Council was unable to consider at present the application of the Avondale Borough Council for a share of the motor buses which the City Council Is obtaining. Proposed Water Board.—The , District j Medical Officer of Health wrote inquiring j If the council would favour the formation Of a metropolitan water board to control the water supply from the Auckland metro- I poiltan area.
