ONE TREE HILL DRAINAGE.
♦ ■ ■ TENDER'S TO BE CALLED. At a meeting of the One Tree Hill Road Board last evening (Mr. R. G. Clark presiding), the engineer was authorised to call tenders for drainage works in the eastern .area, in accordance with the loan scheme of £IS,OOO carried by the ratepayers at the beginning of the year. It was decided to demand that property-owners supply written authority to connect with the sewers, or failing that, be required to disconnect within fourteen 4 a ys, to prevent proceedings being taken. The board decided, on the recommendation of the engineer, to form paths in Moana Avenue, Mariri Road, and in Wheturangi Road, with the object of encouraging building. • Building permits for the previous fortnight, as shown in the ' building inspector's report, totalled £4034.
