ENGINE DRIVER BADLY HURT. . (liy Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAIROA (H. 8.), this day. A married man named Frank Freest, employed as an engine driver at the Public Works Department's ballaet pit on Tahaenui siding, on the Waikokopu Railway, was picked up late yesterday afternoon, unconscious and badly injured about the thighs. He wa-s , removed to the hospital. It is surmised that he was caught in a hauling winch operating for the return of an empty drag scroop.
