THIRD TEST MATCH. NINE WICRETS IN HAND. AFRICANS SCORE 323 IN SECOND. (By Cable.—rress Association. —Copyright.) (Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 15. England won the third test match against South Africa by nine wickets. The South African team in their second innings scored 323, leaving England GO to make to win. The runs were hit off with the loss of one wicket. I In their second venture the South I Africans began better than in the first. ! They were b'4 for one and then S2 for ' three. Nourse made a helpful aud useful :30 till Wood found another victim. Taylor and Catterali changed the complexion of the game. The former was missed oil' Tyldesley and he drove the next ball for a delightful sixer. Catterali immediately similarly drove Macaulay. Taylor's 50 took 114 minutes to compile, and Catterall's only 04 minutes. The general opinion of experts is | that the South Africans' lack of conj fidence and indecision were the chief j factors in their poor play in the first j innings. Even Taylor was suffering from nervousness as was seen when he | foolishly ran Nourse out. On to-day's j showing Taylor is regarded as one of l the finest batsmen in the world. He I would be still more successful if he were relieved of the responsibility of the captaincy. Catterali was also polished but more resourceful than Taylor. The fielding was excellent, Hendren's being faultless. The following are the details of the scores:— ENGLAND. First Innings 3!)G Second Innings. Hobbs, b Blanckenberg 7 Sutcliffe, not out 2!)
