FEDERAL WHEAT POOLS.

PRIME MINISTER'S STATEMENT (Received 10.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Mr. S. M. Bruce (Prime Minister) conferred with State Ministers in regard to proposed wheat pools and the Commonwealth attitude, but no definite proposals were submitted. Mr. Bruce pointed out that the Federal Government would not entertain the idea of dealing with a number of separate pools, even if it were disposed to recognise any pools at all. The Government would only consider the Federal proposal. (A. Cable.)
