I New Walotahi.—-The manager reports that a few strong dabs of gold were seen in the reef broken down in the stopes below the level at the seaward end, and the quartz looks promising for something better. The drive from the bottom of the winze has been advanced oft for the week, but so far no qnartz has been met with. i The country rock continues favourable. ! Ohinemnri Mines.—The manager* reports that the south drive on the Camoola Reef 'at the low level is now out SOOft from the main crosscut. The face is at present jin country rock, intermixed with quartz ! stringers, with about 2ft 6in of quartz esI posed in the floor of the drive.
