TE AWAMUTU, Friday. The fancy dress ball, organised by tb> ladies of Paterangi, in aid of the Anglieai Church Fund, proved an unqualified sue cess. A waltzing competition was held ii which Mrs. T. Davis and Mr. I. Tarr wev awarded the first prize, with Miss Mack' and Mr. S. Smith second. The prizes fo the best fancy costumes were won by Mis Strawbrldge (Fairy) and Mr. D. Wallai (Axabian-drieftain).
