HARBOUR RACES. GENEItAI. HANDICAP SMALL CLASSES, j The Victoria Crnlßlng Club will hold four races to-morrow afternoon over harbour r courses. The first event Is for launches, _ nine having entered, and they will start at _ 2.30 p.m. s The second event is a general handicap _ for the larger boats, the prize being a cup presented by the president (Mr. W. Casey). This will start at 2.40 p.m. The third event is also a general handicap for the M, V and S classes, which starts at 2.50 p.m., the prize being a cup presented by Mr. It. Rae. ' The fourth race Is n general handicap for l all 14-footerH for the Boonstra Memorial ! Cup, presented by Messrs. W. and J. 1 Dervan. This will start at 3 p.m. ] All events start nnd finish at the dredge ' Maul, off St. Mary's Bay. The following are the entries and handl- J Race.—To start at 2.30 p.m. J Course: From starting Hue between dredee and eastern pile beacon, round outer pile < at Bayßwater. thence round mark-boat west • of tide deflector, thence round pile beacon off Chelsea, finishing at starting line, keeping all marks on starboard hand. Entries: Miss Alberta. Sylvester, Orcti. Carmine, Mothinla, Marion D., Mnhurerc, *»oung,Zealandla Swlftsure. The handicaps 'arc sealed until the race is started. " , TAKAPUNA BOATING CLUB. Z CLASS AND HANDICAP RACE. The Takapuna Boating Club will hold two races to-morrow afternoon, the first for the club's 12ft 61n one-design class, and j the other a general handicap event. The race for Z class will start at S.oO i „ m ., from a line between the club house - and a mark moored west, thence round \ mark off Bavswater sand bank, thencs round hulk Northern Chief, to starting line, J twice round, keeping marks to port Winsome scr. Tin 30s, Lai Lai lm, Barbara . lm 4.*>s, Sport lm 4;>s. The second event will start at 2.4;> p.m., ' the course being the same as the first race. The entries are:—Pixie, Sea Pawn.
