WAIKATO POWER BOARD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON. Thursday. It was reported at a meeting of the Central Tower Hoard tod-ay that poles purchased from the I'ul.lic* W..rks Department, nt present tit Penrose, and a shipment at Auckland, could not he railed owing to the Railway Department not being able to supply trucks. One reason of this was stated to he that a large number were out of commission, being perpared for the holiday traffic on March 17. In the meantime various works arc being held up f.ir want of poles. Financial »»i>tan. <■ was granted to it number of applicants for installations. The engineer was given the aiiliiority asked f..r re additions t.. st..re and purchase ot* additional motor-car.
