MURDERS IN MELBOURNE.
A STUDENT SUSPECTED. WARRANT ISSUED. MELBOURNE, January 25. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a student in connection with the shootings in the Botanic Gardens. All night the police watched his home in Richmond and went to several other places he is known to frequent without success. His arrest is expected shortly. The three victims.of the tragedy were buried to-day. There were pathetic scenes at the graveside.— (A. and N.Z.) ASSASSIN STILE AT LARGE. NO CHANGE IN WOUNDED. MELBOURNE, January 25. The Gardens murderer is still at large. The condition of the two wounded victims is unchanged The name of the student for whose arrest a warrant has boon issued is Norman Alfred List.—(A. and N.Z.)
