Mrs. Mabel Lee, of Swanage Hoad, was summoned for aiding Mrs. Thurrell, nt Stevenage Road, East Ham, to travel 'between East Ham and Southend without paying her fare. Mrs. Lee's explanation was that one day when returning from East Ham she saw her baby outside the barrier at Southend. "Baby was waving to mc," she said, "and I mshcd through the barrier and unintentionally retained my ticket. Then the thought struck mc it could be used again."
