A FRENCHMAN ARRESTED. ALLEGED GAOL-BREAKER. ißeceived 3 a.m.) PERTH, this day. A Frenchman named Paul Lempriere has heen arrested in connection with the Perth Post Office robbery. He is charged with stealing £42 from the West Perth Post Oflice. The police state that Lempriere is identical with Claude de Verc, who in November lust escaped with another prisoner from Bendigo gaol. Prior to escaping, de Vero made an unsuccessful attempt, for which lie was sentenced to an additional 18 months.— (A. and N.Z.)
