LIQUEURS FIRST.
FREAK XMAS DINNER, LIZARDS AND MICE. „ LONDON, December 26. Since an American millionaire flooded the palm court of the Savoy Hotel and dined his guests in floating gondolas, epicures, have racked their braius to provide freak meals for members. The Eccentric Club went the limit by inviting its guests on Christmas Day, to essay a new feat of acrobatic gastronomy. They ate a dinner backwards. The menu reads: —Liqueurs, Christmas pudding, dessert, roast beef, stuffed turkey, cocktails and cigara. The actress Miss Peggy O'Neil intsisted on her guests bringing pets. There were a tortoise, a lizard, a parakeet, and white mice.
