EPSOM TOURNAMENT.
The ; Epsom Club held a successful full rink tournament on Xew Year's Day, eight teams taking part, the skips being J. IJ. Hethcrington, S. F. llaszard, F. Kichmond, I".'II. De Launay. K. J. Wilkinson, A. Kendall," It. Miller and D. Crabtrec. Seven rounds of the 10 heads were played, Wilkinson's, team with 5$ wins proving the winners, De Launay's and Kendall's teams being next with 5 wins each. The club competitions are only in the second round, which must be concluded not later than Saturday next. Extensions of the time limit have been made on each occasion, owing to the holidays and the fact that a number of the players have been taking part in the various city tournament-3. The committee has decided that in further rounds no extension of time will be allowed, as otherwise the competitions might drag along indefinitely. PONSONBY CLUB TOURNAMENT. The' following arc tie results of the Poneonby Bowling Club's New Year tournament:— A Section.—Buchan, 4 wins. 1 loss; McIyor, 3 and 2; Harper, 3 and 2; Jury, 3 and 2; Herbert, 2 and 3: Griffiths, 1 and 4 ; Buchan won the section outright. -B Section.—Parsons, 4 and 1: Bremner. 4 and 1; Mcßobie. 4 and I; Paterson. 2 and 3; Rose, 1 and '4:' Lye, 4 losses. Parsons, Bremner and Mcßobie tied. In the playoff Bremner beat Mcßobie and Parsons, and won the section. 0 Section. —Rowlands, 4 and 1: George. .3. and 2: Pookcs, 3 and 2; Brookes, 3 and 2; 'Harking, 2 and 3; Birmingham, 1 and 4. ' Rowlands won the section outright. D Section. —Davidson. 4 and 1; Taylor, 4 and- 1: Scott, 3 and 2; Court, 2 and 3; Moore, X and 4; Hosking, 1 and 4. Davideon and Taylor tied, and in the play-off Davidson won. Semi-finals.—Rowlands 21, beat Buchan 19: Bremner 19. beat Davidson 30. The Bnal between Rowlands (Ponsonb.v) and Bremner (West End) will be played on Saturday at 2 p.m. TE AROHA TOURNAMENT. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) TE AROHA, Wednesday.
