The twenty-second annual New Year tournament opened yesterday, and was continued 'to-day, the teams representing Onehuugra, Tkanics, Takapana, Te Awamutu, Paeroa, Jforrtnsville, Whitiora, Cambridge, Mt Albert, Waihi, To Aroha, and Matamata, twenty-seven teams competing. The greens wert In perfect order, and the weather was excellent. Following are the results ot tic first days play:— FIRST ROUND. Section A.—Bygraree (Te Aroha) IS, v.
