GREAT TINPLATE COMBINE.

FORMED IN SWANSEA.

LONDON, January 1.
It is reported that a combination is being formed in Swansea representing between forty and sixty per cent of the tinplate industry to establish a central selling agency for the whole output of the tinplate works controlled by Richard Thomas and Company and the Gravesend Steel Tinplate Company, which the Thomas Company recently acquired. The new company will start operations -with a million of capital, and will handle an output of nearly 230 mills. It is reported that further amalgamations of 1 tinplate mills in Swansea are probable.
