METHODIST YOUNG MEN'S BIBLE MOVEMENT.
THIRD ANNUAL CONVENTION.
The third annual convention 01 the New Zealand Young Men's Bible Class movement is at present sitting in Wellington. Forty-four delegates are in attendance, representing every union and sub-union from Auckland to lnvercargill. Tlie first business session opened on Saturday with a short devotional service, led by the Rev. AY. Grigg, of Wanganui, acting president of the Methodist Conference. The delegates were then formally welcomed by tile Rev. E. Drake, acting chairman of the Wellington district. A large increase in membership was recorded.
The reports of the various organisers throuhout the Dominion were particularly encouraging. Particularly inspiring were the reports of the newunions, working in out-of-the-way places. Auckland Union moved an ameiV,ment to the sports regulation providing for the first three men to IV >-,"aced instead of the first two as at present. It was finally resolved to make tho points 5, 3,, and 1 for the first, second, and third places, and recommend district unions to adopt this basis.
Mr. (Syril Burton was dedicated to the position of travelling organiser by the acting-president of conference, the Rev. YV. Grigg.
