A reduction in the passage ratee to England by the P. and O. tine has bee" announced by the Auckland agents, Messrs. Russell and Somers. On and after August 1. the first-class minimum rate will be reduced to £114 between New Zealand and London, via the Suez Canal, by the company's mail steamers. This applies to C rate cabins only, A anfl B rates remaining the same as formerly. In the second-class the A rate has beeu reduced to £90 and the B rate te fse. In each instance the reduction amounts to £4.
