THE WOOL SALE.

LAST OF AUCKLAND SEASON. GOOD PRICES OBTAINED. The final wool sale of the season in Auckland was held yesterday afternoon in Messrs. A. Buckland and Sons' rooms, Albert .Street, when 2GOO bales were offered, made up as/follows: Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., 717 bales; Alfred Buckland and Sons, 122; N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., ! 180; Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and North | Auckland Farmers' Co-op.. Ltd., .">B2; Abraham and Williams, Ltd., 999. A3 customary at the clearing-up sale, !a large percentage of the offerings were i presented inferior lots, many lots sho-w-I Ing a large quantity of seed. For this sale there was a good attendance of I buyers, but 'bidding was somewhat erratic. Any attractive lines were keenly competed for, but some of the inferior wool was somewhat neglected. About 75 per cent of tbe offering was sold at auction, and prices compared favourably -with those at Southern sales. Tbe top price for tbe day was 18"d for a nice line of fine wool. Any super lamhs were also in keen demand, and brought up to 141 d. Good crutchings and light conditioned pieces also sold well, the later "bring up to 9'd.
