I p till February he had no complaint* from lis customers, but duirng that month there were complaints. lie lviii never watered the milk, but had passed on the complaints to Barthow. who had al.-o seen a bundle! of complaining note- from customers. Host of the customers who complained ceased to deal with him. It was his practice to get big supply at 3 a.m. and so straight away on his round.

Di'lendant Barthow stated that the Corins could have taken their milk in the evening, and in point of fart they did take it atvaysometime* at night. It was admitted that defendant had oeeii Bncd for that, offence and a £2(1 .ine fur deficiency of fat was also admitted. The record showed that the latter tine was for adulteration aUo, but Mr. Sellars would not admit this.
Cross-examined by Mr. Moody, Barthow said he might have hud other milk on the premises when the inspector called.

Ernest C'orin. father of defendant Corin, said he had complained to Barthow about the quality of the milk. Be had talked about, it till he was sick. During the hearing. Mr. Sellar referred to the Supreme Court decision ihat milk •old to an inspector for an analysis was Hot food for human consumption.
