STREET LIGHTING.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—Shelly Beach Road is the only properly lighted street of the many on the north side of Jervois Road from St. Mary's Road to Cox's Creek, and yet Point Erin Park is brilliantly illuminated. This is scandalous in a thickly populated area, where there is such heavy motor traffic. I have no doubt the same condition exists in other suburbs. Now that the municipal election is at hand the time is ripe for the residents of the West to see to matters pertaining particularly to the safety of their children. —I am, etc., J. FOLEY.
